BURY crashed to their fourth-consecutive defeat at Didsbury on Saturday.
The Radcliffe Road men are yet to register their first points of the season and remain bottom of Lancashire (North) following the 55-3 reverse against the mid-table south Manchester outfit.
Bury, who welcomed back a couple of first team players for the clash, are yet to field a team close to full strength this term following a bad run of injuries.
The damp surface proved a challenge for both sides, but Didsbury began to show their attacking flare and pace, working the ball through hands to the winger who was able to outpace the drift defence and score in the corner.
Early injuries forced the visitors into some further re-shuffling with centre Jonny Allen moving into the front row and Chris Potts making his first appearance of the season.
However, the home side exploited Bury's unbalanced backline with the Didsbury wingers attacking with pace throughout the first half scoring a number of tries with only a solitary kick in reply from the visitors.
The travelling Bury team were dealt a further blow when they lost winger Alex English to an arm injury just before the break.
The Rams put in a much-improved display in the second half with a determined performance and were unlucky not to get more of a foothold in the game as they pressed. However, the visitors were unable to unlock the Didsbury defence and the home side's wingers continued to pick Bury off on the counter attack.
Bury face third-from-bottom Garstang at Radcliffe Road on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
