Despite an early sending off, Bury Broncos Under-18s claimed victory over Accrington Panthers in their first ever home match.
Liam Sixsmith continued his good form to score the first try on three minutes, with Mike Kenworthy kicking the conversion. However, Accrington after 10 minutes to bring the score to 6-4. When Sam Jackson was sent off for an uppercut, a below strength Bury were still able to control the game. Sixsmith added a second try before Ryan Peak and Sean Kelly added further scores to made it 22-4 at the break.
The second half started in a similar manner to the first, with Joe Kelly making a great break only for Accrington to reply shortly after and convert to make it 28-10.
Bury kept their cool and added points through a brace from George Stevenson. Further tries from Sean Kelly, Will Spencer, Joe Kelly and a hat-trick score for Sixsmith made the end result 62-10 to Bury in their first game at the Broncos Paddock.
