Bury 10-12 Pendle
Bury started brightly in this North Lancs Division Two match and opened the scoring in the 10th minute.
An astute kick by Sam Ware allowed his opposite wing Dan Scanlon to touch down in the corner for an unconverted try.
Three minutes later, Bury extended their lead to 10-0 when Alex English rounded for an uncoverted try.
In the 20th minute, the visitors took a penalty kick to the corner and from the lineout, a simple catch and drive saw them score an unconverted try.
Seven minutes after the restart, Pendle had a two point advantage after repeating the trick to drive over the line for a converted try.
Bury had chances to win the match but following a succession of set scrums and penalties, they failed to cross the line giving Pendle a narrow victory.
This Saturday, Bury visit Clitheroe kick-off 2.15pm.
