RAMSBOTTOM United took maximum points over Easter to move back up to fourth in the Vodkat NW Counties Premier Division.
A John Robinson penalty and strikes from Phil Dean and Michael Morrison earned the resurgent Rams a 3-1 win over St Helens Town at the Riverside on Saturday.
With their confidence boosted, the Riversiders romped to an even more comfortable 4-1 win at Silsden on Monday.
Former Burnley man Joel Pilkington – ever-present in midfield – netted a hat trick after Robinson had made up for an earlier penalty miss to put the Rams in front after 21 minutes of a game the home side ended with only nine men after having two players sent off.
Delighted co-manager Anthony Johnson believes the Rams got back to their best over the holiday weekend.
“Six points from the two games over Easter was the requirement and that is what they have delivered with two exceptional performances,” he said.
