Elton Vale have switched Bill Mundy from reserve team coach to first team manager in a bid to bring success back on the pitch to match their excellent facilities.
The club have developed a quality clubhouse and playing surface and, on the pitch, the first team and reserves will once again compete at top amateur level in the Manchester League.
Mundy wil be assisted by Phil Hartley.
The are currently looking to improve the quality of the first team by searching for new recruits.
The club have appointed coach, Lee Metcalfe, who has joined from Prestwich FC where he successfully managed the first team to consecutive promotions in the last two seasons.
The reserves will be run by Anthony Healey, and an under-18s youth team will compete in the Bury and Radcliffe Junior League under the management of Keith Mortimer.
Chairman John Nuttall said: “After last season’s disappointing showing we are excited by the prospects for the forthcoming season and feel we now have a strong management team in place to take the club forward.
“Billy and Phil are both very experienced managers. The appointment of Lee as a dedicated coach will ensure our training is run in a professional manner.” Training starts on Saturday, and anybody wishing to play for the club can contact Bill Mundy on 07751 767417.
