THE Old Boys took the points with a convincing attacking performance but made hard work of it after leading 3-0 just after half time.
Playing some quality football with Simon Curtis, Adam Evans, Ben Williams and Derrick Aljoe prominent, the Bury side took the lead on 20 minutes when Alkoe set up Steven Wood for a stunning first-time finish.
Will Purser’s terrific volley doubled the lead and they looked to be coasting to victory when man-of-the-match Liam Donnelly hammered home the third early in the second half.
Bury took their foot off the gas for a 10-minute spell and Radcliffe took advantage with two quickfire goals.
But the Old Boys took control once more and never looked like conceding a third and should be in condfident mood when they travel to Rochdale St Clements tonight.
