WALSHAW start their Manchester Premier League title challenge with a trek to the Peak District to take on Chapel Town on Saturday, the on Wednesday they travel to East Manchester.
Spirits are high after a good pre-season and the management are hoping they can improve on their excellent third place finish last term.
The squad has been bolstered by several new signings, Lee Gaskell joining from Elton Vale and Jamie Treanor, Vale’s reserve team captain, has also signed.
Ian Hutchinson, Isaac Adams, Chris Smithies, and Mark Westhead, all formerly of Ramsbottom United, and Mike Waterworth from Atherton Colls have also joined the ranks.
More signings are expected before Saturday to give Walshaw their strongest ever squad.
