RADCLIFFE Borough made it back-to-back league wins at New Mills on Monday night.
It was a second Evo-Stik Division One North outing in two days for Kevin Glendon’s men and they repeated their weekend scoreline with another 3-0 victory.
Matthew Landregan broke the deadlock in the 12th minute when he slotted home the resulting spot-kick.
The hosts were then reduced to 10 men when Melford Knight launched into Caldon Henson and the referee sent the midfielder off.
In-form front man Brad Robinson doubled the advantage when he rounded home stopper Peter Collinge to set Glendon’s side on the road to three points.
Robinson sealed victory on 59 minutes with an unstoppable piledriver for his fifth goal in as many games, to lift Boro to within a point of escaping the drop zone.
Saturday’s first league victory came at the expense of second bottom Ossett Albion who saw Boro leapfrog them with victory.
Boro took the lead at Stainton Park midway through the first half when Henson scored his sixth goal of the campaign.
It remained 1-0 to the hosts until two goals in as many second-half minutes killed the game off. First, substitute Jake Hibbs doubled the advantage with his first touch after coming on with 16 minutes to go.
Then, on 75 minutes, Robinson found the net to complete the 3-0 scoreline – something they have now registered in three successive matches following the away triumph at New Mills and an FA Trophy replay win over Clitheroe.
Boro turn their attentions to the FA Trophy first qualifying round on Saturday and a trip to Northwich Victoria, kick off 3pm.
They are in league action three days later, hosting Harrogate Railway Athletic at 7.45pm.
