FOUR Radcliffe AC runners travelled to the Lakes last weekend for the Coniston 14. Vet-45 Gary Wilson was a fine 81st overall in 1hr 38mins 53secs out of an entry list of around 1,600 runners.
The 32nd annual event followed a tough and hilly course on the road that circles Coniston Water.
Andy Wheeler (V55) was next home for Radcliffe in 1:52:14, finishing 14th in his age group.
Mauro Rotondi, still recovering from a marathon last weekend, ran 1:56:26 and Sheila Jones was second in the women vet-55 age group in 2:00:56.
Kath Davies, Mark Cartwright, Steve Hamer and John Andrew all completed the off-road Tameside Triathlon at the Copley Centre, Stalybridge, swimming 500m, riding 15.5miles and running 9.7km in around two hours.
