BURY Billiards League champions Tottington Conservative Club and league runners up Elton Liberal Club A both lost in the semi-finals of the team knockout competition, leaving Walmersley Conservative Club and Elton Liberal Club B to contest the final.
The final will take place at Walmersley Conservative Club next Tuesday.
Chris Banner and Jamie Street beat Tony Sudhurst and Keith Brooks 125-87 to claim the pairs title on Monday, while Peter Stanyer triumphed 125-107 over Paul Eslick to win the individual crown.
l Rob Hall and Bem French – two of the UK’s leading billiards players – will compete against four local players before taking on each other in an exhibition match during the league’s presentation night at Walmersley Conservative Club on Tuesday, April 17.
Play will begin at 7.30pm and admission is free.
