BURY AC athlete Ben Coop put in an excellent performance to take seventh place overall in the Knowl Hill fell race over six miles and 1,300 ft of climbing and followed that up with fourth place in the Holcombe Two Towers Fell Race.
Club-mate Benn Heywood was 23rd at Knowl Hill but was 17th at Holcombe.
Andy Milligan finished 11th and third vet 45 in 49:42 at Knowl Hill and won the vet 45 race and took 12th place overall in the Two Towers event. Fell race debutant Janet Rigby was the first Bury woman to finish, taking 74th overall and ninth in the women’s race women. Evie McDermott was 15th overall in the women’s race, which gave her victory in the junior race.
