Scholes Lane (Tottington): This water is fishing about the best this week with some good catches, having benefited from a re-stock of about 2,000 fish. Starmount Lodge (Radclffe): Good catches reported this week although carp fishing is running a bit slow, but catches can be made on most other fish despite the bad weather.
Red Bridge (Radcliffe): Fishing well and is another lodge that is benefiting from a major restock, but it is a members only lodge.
Pilsworth fisheries (Heywood) day ticket: Fishing reports this week are all averaging low not as many have been out fishing. Still fishing well on all lodges. Results: 1 Dave Williams 18lb12oz, 2 Andy McKenzie 15lb 6oz, 3 Tony Lomax 15lb, 4 P Parks 12lb 8oz. Next open on Sunday, 10am Gigg Lane or Maceys (Bury) day ticket: The top lodge has been fishing reasonably good catches of roach, perch and silvers. In the bottom lodge, carp is still a little slow but there have been good catches on large number pegs on the bottom part of lodge in reeds. There is a grand slam tournament every Tuesday evening. Entry costs £12 and pegs are drawn at 5pm. Bait peg and a percentage to prize is included. Competitors must have fished six of the 17 to qualify for the finals. Last Tuesday’s leg was won by Dave Williams (12lb).
Unsworth (Unsworth Angling Club) day ticket: The fishing has been good with some large bream and carp and still a good day’s fishing. The cut is starting to fish but good catches are possible for the more skilled.
Day tickets must be purchased before fishing starts.

In the Ramsbottom AA match at Hampson Springs, Rockpool on June 9 Neil Wright was the winner with a catch of 50lb.
Gary Wright was the runner-up with 34lb and Ray Hesketh was third with 28lb.
Ramsbottom secretary Allan Warrington has planned a few junior matches.
