THE Lumb Carr Road annual hill climb event, organised by Bury Clarion Club in association with Bury Members Group, takes place on Tuesday, July 3.
This year’s race is part of the “Club Bury Be Part of It” drive, inspired by the London Olympcs.
It is a time trial of 1,000m on Lumb Carr Road, Ramsbottom. Entrants aged 12 to under 18 must have parental consent.
The official parental consent form can be obtained from event secretary Bob Duckworth on 01204 884297.
There is no upper age limit and there is no need to be a member of a club. The entry fee is £2 and signing on is at the Hare & Hounds at the bottom of Lumb Carr Road. Commemorative Medals will be awarded to the first, second and third placed entrants. The entry fee includes the cost of third party insurance whilst competing.
