BURY manager Richie Barker has challenged Andrai Jones to fulfil his potential after the young defender agreed a new two-year deal at Gigg Lane.
The 20-year-old finished last season with some strong performances at right-back and is expected to challenge Phil Picken for his place in the starting 11 this campaign.
“Obviously I am delighted that Andrai has tied himself to the club for another two years,” said Barker.
“It’s never really been an issue with him regarding his contract offer. The new season promises to be a big season for Andrai and players like him. Now it’s time for him to fulfil his potential that he has shown during last season and step forward.”
Jones signed his first professional contract with Bury in 2009 after coming through the Shakers’ youth system.
