MARK Griffiths took on The Oaks single-handed in the five-man game, to give the Rose and Crown Ramsbottom a 9-8 win in the in the Lancashire Carpets Summer League’s Silver Division.
The Elton Fold surrendered their 100 per cent record in the dominoes losing 4-1 to the Rostron Arms but their darters were on form winning 13-4 with Wild O'halloran and Mills putting in star performances.
There is no stopping the Rose and Crown from Haslingden, this week they crushed the Greymare A 14-3.
Graham Mardy was the man of the match. The Legion won their first around the board game, which gave them a 9-8 win over the Greymare B.
Phil Whittaker was in fine form for the Legion.
Gareth Cunniffe got Tottington off to a good start by beating Scott Heywood 2-1 but it went slowly downhill from there, the Buchanan ran out 11-6 winners, star men Steve Plummer and Steve Dunne. The Buchanan also won the dominoes 5-0.
