GREENMOUNT sisters Olivia and Alexis Peet have added a string of honours to their growing list of tennis successes over the summer.
Nine years old Alexis became county champion when she beat Eve Loftus to win the girls under-10s event at the Lancashire Championships at Bolton Arena – a title she will have the opportunity to defend next year.
She also won the u10s events at the Esporta Lancashire Open, the City of Leeds Open and the West Cheshire Open in addition to finishing runner-up at the Sellers International in Huddersfield and the Scottish Open. Her successes earned her a place among the country’s top eight girls in her age group who attended a coaching camp at the National Tennis Centre at Roehampton.
Eleven years old Olivia, who is ranked among the country’s top 24 u12s, was runner-up in the West Cheshire Open event for her age group, and will attend an assessment day at Bolton Arena on Saturday.
She will now be sponsored by Aegon and become a Matrix player at Bolton Arena, joining a scheme designed to improve players of all ability levels.
