BURY’S squad is shaping up ahead of the players’ return to full training on July 1.
The first-team players who have been offered deals have all been signed with the exception of Kyle Bennett who is likely to be playing for another club next season, with Doncaster among interested suitors.
Veteran defender Efe Sodje has signed a new two-year contract, and Ben Futcher, Zach Rothwell, Richie Branagan, Andrai Jones and Lennell John-Lewis have also signed 12-month deals.
Barker is satisfied he has held on to the players he wants.
“I was asked my opinion before I got the job to help the board make contract offers,” he said.
“The fact that those offers have been made to the players, shows what I think of them.”
Bury’s reserve and youth team matches are to be played at Radcliffe Borough.
A pre-season game against Benny Phillips’s Boro is also planned as is a match at Ramsbottom United’s Riverside Stadium.
