NORTHERN Thunder coach Suzy Chapman was not happy with the way her side played in the 56-42 defeat to Team Bath in Oldham.
Bath trio Asha Tett, Pamela Cookey and Rosie Allison proved too strong for the Bury side in the FIAT Netball Super League clash.
Thunder now need to win their remaining two matches to ensure a play-off place.
“We matched their performance in the first quarter,” said Chapman.
“However, we talked about consistency and we didn’t live up to that.
“Mistakes were made which we now need to learn from. I am looking forward to our next game in order to get things right for the play-offs.”
Watching from the sidelines as she recovers from an ankle injury, Thunder captain Karen Greig added: “It was a tough, physical game which our players coped with, and we gave our all to the end but it wasn’t enough on the night.
“We will learn from this performance and are looking forward to the play-offs.”
The team return to action at Castle Leisure Centre on Sunday, May 22.
