IT was no stroll in the park for four Radcliffe AC members when they took part in the 5km Bolton park run at Leverhulme Park.
Club chairman Mark Emmett led the Radcliffe runners home in 24th place out of 104 finishers, clocking 22mins 54secs.
Kath Davies, having recovered from the London Marathon, finished 36th (24:32). She was followed by vet 60 Eileen Royle in 44th (25:26) and Denise Kay in 46th (25.41).
On the fells, Mark Cartwright (V40) was the only Radcliffe member to run the 4.5mile Belmont Winter Hill fell race. He finished 57th in 44:57.
Mark Murphy took on the eight-plus mile Crowden Horshoe fell race, near Woodhead. He finished in 1.37:16 to beat last year’s time by seven minutes.
