JOHN-PAUL Pittman has said he wants to extend his stay at Gigg Lane.
The pacy striker, on loan from Nottingham Forest, opened his Bury goalscoring account on Tuesday night in the 3-1 defeat against Chester City.
The 19-year-old is under contract until the end of the month but the lack of first team opportunities at Forest have prompted him to request a longer spell in Lancashire.
Pittman has made just two substitute appearances for the League One club since breaking out of the youth team last season, and was put out on loan to Hartlepool to get some experience last term.
Now the affable teenager wants to use Bury as a springboard for a first team place, much like last season's loan star Lewis Gobern did at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He said: "I want to get as many games under my belt as possible. If we could look to extend the loan deal afterwards then that would be excellent, because I'm not getting in the team at Forest.
