SCOTT QUIGG has targeted a showdown with British super-bantamweight champion Jason Booth.
Unbeaten Quigg is the chief supporting contest to Matthew Hatton’s European welterweight title defence against Switzerland’s Roberto Belge at the Reebok Stadium on Friday, November 26.
Bury’s recently crowned WBA international champion is highly ranked in the organisation’s world rankings, at number 11, but he is more interested in Booth than global glory.
Quigg, who has won all of his 20 professional fights, 14 inside the distance, said: “My next fight should get me more recognition and lead to a British or European title fight.
“Jason is my top target and although it would be a very hard fight, I am very confident of beating him.
“He is very skilful and experienced, but might have peaked. I am more than ready for him.”
