ALAN Knill has boosted his misfiring strikeforce with the loan signing of Leeds United youngster Tom Elliott.
The Shakers have not scored in their last five outings and the manager has moved to address the problem quickly.
He has sent on-loan Sheffield United forward Jordan Robertson back to Bramall Lane while winger Simon Johnson has left the club after failing to impress on a short-term deal.
That has freed up some funds for Knill to utilise and the Bury boss is delighted to have sealed a three-month deal for 18-year-old rising star Elliott, who made his debut for the Elland Road outfit when he was still at school.
“He is 6ft 4ins, quick and has got great potential,” said Knill. “His work ethic is fantastic and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
