LOAN rangers Jordan Robertson and David Worrall are happy to be given their chance to shine at Gigg Lane.

The duo combined to score the Shakers’ winner at Darlington on Saturday and both are hoping their good performances will stand them in good stead for the future.

Robertson joined Bury on loan for six months from Sheffield United on Friday and was thrown straight into action the following day — netting on his debut.

“I’m going to take it game by game,” said the 21-year-old striker.

“There are 20-odd games that I can play in and I want to score in each one if I can. I do need first-team football now.

“That couldn’t be guaranteed at Sheffield United, and it’s not guaranteed here, but I hope I can stay in the team if I keep scoring goals. The move was out of the blue and done in the space of a couple of hours, and as soon as Kevin Blackwell told me about it I was on my way.

“I have spoken with Ryan Cresswell and have heard lots of good things about the manager and Ryan was very complimentary about the boys here.”

Worrall is back at Gigg Lane on a six-month loan deal after moving to Championship club West Brom three years ago for £50,000.

The 19-year-old winger said: “It’s good to be back at home and I’m enjoying my mum’s cooking. It’s nice to come back and help the club because they were good to me when I was here and helped to fix up my move to West Brom, so I hope to repay them with some good performances.”
