Bury Clarion Club’s Nick Hall achieved another personal best at Southport Cycling Club’s 10-mile drop in a time trial held at Tarleton, Mereyside.
His time of 23 minutes 6 seconds put him in second place among the Bury crew, with Andy Horner beating him by just under 10 seconds with 22:57. Dave Woods also posted a personal best of 27:46.
At the previous week’s 25-mile event Andy Horner raced to a time of 1hr 3mins 8secs. Martin Lee made 1:5:5.
Nick Hall raced in the LVRC 50-mile road race in Chester the previous weekend. On an undulating course, Nick finished in just under two hours and in a creditable seventh place after facing an uphill finish.
The 16-year-old Yates twins continued their gruelling racing schedule, competing in Cycling Development North West’s 68-mile road Race at Ulverston, Cumbria where Simon came fifth and Adam sixth.
