A junior football team has scored a sponsorship deal again.

Roach Dynamos Junior Football Club Under 15s Orange, based in Heywood, have been given new kits courtesy of a sponsorship deal with a Bury business.

Specsavers Audiology in Bury has pledged to continue supporting the grassroots team for the 2024/25 season after a successful season last year.

The sponsor has provided the team with their orange and black jerseys, tops, shorts, and socks to be worn at every game.

The team finished in the top three of the North Bury Junior League last season and began this season with a 3-2 win against UK Sports.

Claire Watters, store director at Specsavers Bury, said: "We always want to positively impact our local community, whether that be directly through our services and expertise in-store or indirectly by championing others, giving them the ability and facilities to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.

"We’ve thoroughly enjoyed supporting the team over the past couple of years and wish them the best of luck this season."

Lee Chorlton, manager of Roach Dynamos Junior Football Club Under 15s Orange, said: "We are absolutely thrilled that Specsavers stepped in to help fund the kit for the third year running.

"Without the support of local businesses, grassroots football would be unsustainable, so we’re extremely grateful."

Specsavers is celebrating 40 years of care this year.

From its beginnings on a ping pong table in 1984, Specsavers is now the 'largest privately-owned eye care and audiology company in the world' with more than 2,500 businesses in 11 countries.
