Bury boss Dave McNabb hailed his side’s “phenomenal achievement” as they stunned Radcliffe in the FA Cup third qualifying round.
Bryan Ly scored a dramatic late winner from the penalty spot as the Shakers booked their place in the next round.
“It is a bit surreal at the minute,” McNabb told The Bury Times. “The way the game went, obviously cup ties have got a bit of everything and strange things can happen at times.
“To come from behind, take the lead, get pegged back and take the lead again, the emotions on the bench were just out of this world.
“All credit goes to the players, every single one of them. They put a shift in, they put their bodies on the line for the club and I am over the moon for them.
“(Ly) has ice running through his veins! Especially in front of the fans… his record last year in terms of goals and assists was outstanding.
“His performances this year have been brilliant but he probably hasn’t got the goals and assists he deserves.
“Stepping up today was a big thing for him and there was no doubt that he wanted the penalty. I am made up for him. Collectively as a group, it is a phenomenal achievement.”
Bury trailed at the break in front of a record crowd at the Neuven Stadium but showed character to battle back into the contest.
“I think it makes it that bit more special that it’s Radcliffe, just because they are such a good club and side,” McNabb added.
“Obviously, when you get to this round of the competition you are going to be playing against a side higher up.
“Playing against a local team who, let’s be honest, we want to emulate in terms of the way they have been successful.
“The way they won the league last year was phenomenal and the team they have got is exceptional. The lads have matched them and at times shown their quality.
“First half, you sort of expect what happened. The way Radcliffe moved the ball and their shape, they made it really difficult for us but second half, we were excellent.”
