Radcliffe AC had 25 taking part in the eighth round of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix League - the Pennington Flash 5 Mile Trail Race on Sunday.

First for Radcliffe, and 11th overall, was Andrew O’Donnell, who completed the five-mile race in 32mins 52secs. Ian Swan was third in his age category (MV45) in 34:21, Michael Kontowtt was second V60 in 35:26 and Sheila Jones was second FV65 in 42:17.

O’Donnell was once again first for the club at the Monton 5 Miler on Bank Holiday Monday, completing the two laps of Ellesmere Park in 30:43, and Sheila Jones was once again second in her age category, running 40:43.

Radcliffe AC were well represented at Peel Parkrun on the occasion of Mike Scott’s 50th Parkrun, with both senior and junior members out.

Also on Saturday, Paul Stevens ran the Smithy’s Charity 5 Mile Trail Run in Egerton with a time of 49:01, and junior Benji took part in the junior Fun Run version after parkrun.
