An incredible 42 runners from Radcliffe AC took on the Haigh Hall four-mile race in midweek as part of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix league, writes Neil Greenhalgh.
Radcliffe were led home by Gary Adkins in 24mins 26secs. Elaine Bailey came second V65 in 36:26, and Emma Horner came fourth lady in 28:49.

It was the return of the Tour of Tameside last week, a consecutive four-day running festival exploring the many terrains of Tameside.
Stage 1 of the tour, the X-Trail 10k takes runners through a variety of terrain as the route heads through two local country parks. Adam Wills came in at 48:59, followed by Karen Doherty in 57:31. Adam Wills was once again first over the line for Radcliffe in stage 2 of the tour, finishing Hell on the Fell in 55:08, followed by Karen Doherty 62:39. Stage 3, The Hero Half Marathon, is the longest of the four, and the race with the largest Radcliffe contingent. Karen Doherty bagged a half marathon PB during the out and back route along the Longdendale Trail, finishing in 2:07:36. Dominic Parry was first over the line for Radcliffe in 1:44:27, followed by Mia Derbyshire (1:59:36), Adam Wills (2:09:15), Lucie Tighe (2:25:25), and Brennan Tighe (2:25:26). The tour is concluded by the Dr Ron Hyde 7-mile road race. Adam Wills was the first finisher for Radcliffe in stage 4 (55:44), followed by Mia Derbyshire (60:58), and Karen Doherty (64:36).
Elsewhere, two Radcliffe AC runners completed Race The Train at the weekend, Christopher Mihalyi coming in at 1:24:59 and Laura Aiken in 2:01:59. Kath Biddle ran the Coed Y Brenin Half Marathon, to complete her 100th unique location for the half marathon distance, in a time of 2:42:06.
