The Bury ABC quartet at the club
Bury ABC boxers have been out and about testing themselves in the ring recently.
Umar Balal went to the Accrington Lions show and fought at 75kg, winning by a unanimous points decision against Arnold Dube, of Ancoats Boxing Club.
The week later at the Jimmy Egan’s Show at Tameside Sports Centre, 14-year-old Sahil Hussain took on home fighter, Frankie Caldwell at 43kg in a skills bout.
Bury stablemate, Kaziah Knowles, also aged 14, also had a skills bout at 54kg against another home fighter in the shape of Jimmy Brown.
In a third skills bout, 16-year-old Bury boxer Abdullah Akmal won on a unanimous decision.
