RAMSBOTTOM picked up a big win against winless Colne in Lancashire League Division One.
Alex Olpin (63), Jacob Clarke (57no) and Kieren Grimshaw (53) helped Ramsbottom reach 259-6 in a 42 overs a-side game. Matt Walker (3-31) was the pick of the Colne bowlers.
Rammy pro Daryn Smit then took 5-19 with Dan Pyke (3-37) and Owen Collinge (2-4) doing their bit to dismiss Colne for 65.
Greenmount beat Accrington by seven wickets in their latest Lancashire League Division Two outing.
In a game reduced to 24 overs, Accrington scored 153-5 with Thomas Walker hitting an unbeaten 43 while captain Graeme Sneddon was out for the same score.
Opener Matt Wilson hit 27 while there were two wickets apiece for Evan Williams (2-36) and Lewis Dove (2-49).
In reply, Greenmount were set a revised target for 135 from 20 overs and achieved that with just under three overs to spare thanks largely to an unbeaten 84 from professional Chesney Hughes while Andy Kerr contributed with 30 in a 139-3 total.
In the GMCL, Prestwich defended 252-6 at home to Moorside for an 85-run Premier Division victory.
Woodbank posted 218-5 but went down to a two-wicket defeat at home to Roe Green.
In Premier 2, Walshaw beat Stand by two wickets as they finished on 146-8.
Bury went down to a four-wicket defeat at Edgworth despite reducing their hosts to 40-6 at one point.
Championship action saw second-placed Brooksbottom defeat third in the table Swinton Moorside by comfortably defending a sizeable 255-4 for a 99-run win.
Bottom of the table Edenfield went down to a six-wicket defeat at leaders Shaw.
In Division 2A, East Lancs Paper Mill lost by 28 runs in a tight game at Worsley despite Hammed Rabbi taking five wickets.
