PRESTWICH are fourth in the GMCL Premier Division after going down to defeat at home to Heyside on Saturday.
The visitors posted 276 batting first and defended it largely thanks to 5-40 from Chirag Khurana.
Keeper Dan Pawson top scored with 48 as Prestwich were all out for 178.
Woodbank moved up to seventh after defending 238-8 at home to Greenfield, who fell 26 short.
Imran Mirza top scored with 69 but it was Greenfield’s Ayaz Tasawar who was the man of the match and took his side close, taking 5-59 and then making 89 in his side’s 213-9.
In Premier 2, Bury won a tight game at Woodhouses by 24 runs, defending 226 as Dom Morris top scored with a 94 that included 12 fours and five sixes, picking up their sixth win of the summer.
The result leaves Bury fourth and saw Woodhouses slip into the bottom three following Stand’s heavy victory over winless Monton.
They prevailed by seven wickets after bowling the visitors out for just 48, Adam McGladdery taking 5-6.
Walshaw, fifth, won at home to Royton by 10 wickets with Adam Stansfield, 64, and Saif Bhojani, 68, seeing them home to chase 141.
Tom Booth took three wickets and scored 89 for the visitors as Elton picked up an impressive two-wicket win at Championship leaders Shaw.
Brooksbottom were five-wicket winners at home to Friarmere thanks to four wickets apiece for Mohsan Iqbal and Stephon Ramidal.
Edenfield went down to an 81-run defeat at Westleigh.
In Division 2A, Radcliffe lost by 135 runs at home to Daisy Hill as they were all out for 91.
Tottington St Johns won a thriller at Elton 2s, as the hosts fell just two runs short of TSJ’s total of 228.
East Lancs Paper Mill were all out for just 41 in their heavy eight-wicket defeat at home to Roe Green 2s.
In Division 3W, Unsworth went down to a five-wicket defeat at Astley Tyldesley 2s.
Lancashire League action saw Ramsbottom bowled out for 99 in their Division One defeat against Clitheroe.
Dan Pike then took 3-7 but Clitheroe, joint-top of the table, won by four wickets.
The sides will meet again in the last eight of the league’s T20 competition after defending champions Rammy sealed their passage with a nine-wicket win at Middleton.
Greenmount are out after losing all five of their matches and they also tasted defeat in Division Two action by 20 runs against Enfield.
Enfield posted 286-6 as professional Stuart Els scored 116 and Yasir Ali 101.
Greenmount professional Chesney Hughes took 4-63 then hit 106 in his side’s 266 all out total.
