FORMER Bury captain Neil Danns has dropped into non-league with Radcliffe.
The 37-year-old was part of the Shakers side that won promotion from League Two in 2019 before financial issues saw the club expelled from the Football League.
The midfielder spent last season with Tranmere in League One, making 24 appearances in all competitions.
Keen to continue his playing days, Danns has now headed to the Neuven Stadium and could feature in their trip to Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division leaders Warrington tomorrow.
Boss Lee Fowler said: “It’s a real coup for the club and I’m really looking forward to working with him.
“His experience will be vital on and off the pitch.”
In all, Danns made 88 appearances for the Shakers having arriving from Bolton in the summer of 2016.
The vastly-experienced Guyana international has also played for Leicester, Crystal Palace and Colchester among others.
