BURY AFC have signed Radcliffe promotion-winner Scott Metcalfe and confirmed the left back as their first captain.
The defender was most recently with Stalybridge Celtic having been part of the Boro side that went up under Jon Macken in 2018-19.
He has also had spells at Warrington Town, New Mills, Ashton, Curzon Ashton, Droylsden, Ossett Albion, Salford City, Trafford, FC United of Manchester and FC Halifax Town.
Boss Andy Welsh said: “I’m delighted to have Scott on board, he has got so much quality on the ball in play and with set pieces, he really is an excellent signing for us.
“His experience both on and off the field will be invaluable.
“He’s a born winner who has won leagues, cups, and playoffs and is someone who will run through brick walls to get results.”
