RADCLIFFE boss Lee Fowler wants his side to go all out against higher league opposition as they build up to the new campaign.
Boro welcome fans back to the Neuven Stadium on Saturday for the visit of Chester, with a game against Chorley also to come on September 12 before the Northern Premier League Premier Division season kicks off seven days later.
Unbeaten this pre-season after coming from three goals down to draw 3-3 with Prescot Cables on Saturday, Fowler wants his side to carry that record on.
Boro also have games scheduled against Bury AFC next Tuesday, September 1, and at Ossett United on Saturday, September 5.
He said: “I want us to beat Chester, I want us to beat Chorley.
“Every game I want to win, we haven’t lost which is a massive mentality at this football club.
“Chester are going to be a good team. If you think they worked hard today Bern (Bernard Morley) and Johno’s (Anthony Johnson) teams are very good but they can also play football as well. Let’s have a go at them!
“I respect every manager until they disrespect me or my team and we will have a good go. Saturday was a really good grounding.”
The 37-year-old is pleased about what he is learning about his side as the campaign draws near.
“The reaction I asked for a half-time (against Cables) was everything I had recruited for,” Fowler said.
“That reaction was everything I needed to know about my players.
“We shouldn’t have to go three down to find it but we treat every team with respect. I think the second half was everything that non-league football is.”
