BURY ABC youngster Sehn Hussain lost out on points at the semi-finals of the schools’ championships in Crawley last weekend.
The 14-year-old, fighting in the 44.5-46kg weight division, lost unanimously after a brave effort against Ashton Duncan, of Thames Valley ABC, at the K2 Leisure Centre – ending his winning run in the competition.
Despite missing out on the finals, coach Mick Jelley says the teenager should be proud of his achievements.
He said: "Maybe nerves came into play because it was a big crowd packed in at a good venue.
"Sehn was beaten but when you think he has not had that many fights, he did ever so well to get as far as he did and he should be proud."
