BURY ABC's Ibrahim Nadim will compete in the final in the Greater Manchester region of the ABA Championships in Manchester this weekend.
The 20-year-old, who fights in the 52-56kg division, won through to finals weekend at Ashton Masonic Hall after a semi-final triumph against Edward Harrison, of Blackpool Kingscote ABC.
Nadim won unanimously on points after a fine display at Tameside Elite Boxing Club.
The previous day, at the Magna Centre in south Yorkshire, Bury youngster Acacia Barron lost out on points in her Junior and Cadets Championship semi-final.
Fighting at the 42-46kg level, the 14-year-old lost to opponent Lily Henderson.
