BURY Broncos’ Jean Palin has been crowned Club Woman of the Year 2015 by Her Rugby League.
The club secretary received the accolade for her attitude and tireless work for both the Whitefield-based club and Salford Red Devils.
Only recently Jean also received a special commendation at the Foxy Bingo Ladies of the League awards, and won £500 which will help with club improvements.
Her Rugby League aims to promote the game by highlighting one of its greatest assets – its women.
Founder and chair Angela Powers said: “Her Rugby League Association aims to give recognition to those women who dedicate their spare time to the sport of rugby league, and we were impressed with Jean’s commitment to the club over many years as a supporter.”
Following the award presentation, Palin said: “I am very grateful to Her RL for this fantastic award. It was a great night of celebrating the many achievements of women in RL.”
