CARETAKER Bury boss Ronnie Jepson faces mounting injury problems as he prepares to take his struggling squad to Wycombe on Saturday.
Veteran midfielder Tommy Miller became the latest name to be added to the casualty list after being withdrawn at half-time in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at home to Mansfield.
The 34-year-old received treatment to his shoulder on the pitch following a hefty first-half challenge and, despite soldiering on, was unable to continue after the break.
“Tommy has the stud marks to show for it on his shoulder,” said Jepson after the match. “He took a hefty blow, but we will not know any more until the end of the week.”
If Miller cannot make it, he will join fellow midfielders Marco Navas and Tope Obadeyi on the treatment table, as well as goalkeeper Rob Lainton and attacker Ashley Grimes.
Jepson is also sweating on the fitness of winger Craig Jones, who has missed the last two matches with a groin strain, while he will not be able to call on loan midfielder Jordan Sinnott, who has returned to parent club Huddersfield.
