CONTINUING increased sales look set to be reflected when the Pilsworth-based sports, fashionwear and footwear giants John David (JD) Group unveils its latest financial results next month.
Following the group's annual results to January 2007 announced earlier, JD reported for like-for-like sales growth of 7.5 per cent for the 12 weeks to April 21. After a further 13 weeks of trading, group like-for-like sales growth for the 25 weeks to July 21 improved by 9.4 per cent.
A shareholders' update disclosed that sales in sports stores were up by 9.9 per cent. John David Group, opened its first JD Sports store in Bury in 1981.
