Hempsons advised Bury Primary Care Trust (PCT) in its negotiations with Ask Bury Developments, the new joint venture partnership between Ask Property Developments and Bury Council, on the development of the 1.37 hectare site in the centre of the town.

Anne Coates, deputy chief executive at Bury PCT, said: "The team from Hempsons was able to bring both their expertise in healthcare law and commercial property to the discussions.

This is a major development for Bury Primary Care Trust and we're looking forward to serving the local community with these new facilities."

Hempsons' commercial property consultant Alan Morris commented: "Our property team in Manchester handled both the terms of the development agreement and the leases for the health care centre and the car park, working in close liaison with our healthcare law specialists.

"We're delighted to exchange contracts on this prestigious project for the PCT and to play our part in a significant development for the people of Bury."
