THE thorny issue of parking will be discussed at next week's meeting of Bury Economic Forum.
Paul Foster, local policy manager for Bury at Greater Manchester Chamber, said: "The amount of parking available and the cost of it can have a big impact on local businesses. If there are too few spaces or tickets costs too much shoppers will go elsewhere.
"That's why it's vital for councils and local business to discuss this important issue. This meeting will be the perfect opportunity for Bury businesses to raise any concerns they have about parking in the borough."
The event is at Bury Town Hall on Tuesday between 4pm and 5.30pm.
