Anyone who believes in democracy welcomes the elections in May; this gives the electorate a chance to choose who will represent them for a four-year term of office.
Councillor Bibby and his Tory group need to be honest with the electorate and tell them that they only want to represent them if they are in control of the council and, if not in control, are quite happy for others to make decisions on their behalf.
I am sorry Cllr Bibby, this just is not good enough. I can understand why you are happy to sit back and allow the Labour controlled council to provide the best education in the country, one of the best social services and the greenest borough in the country.
If you can provide better, Cllr Bibby, tell the electorate how you mean to achieve this.
The Tories are becoming Liberals, all talk and very little action.
COUNCILLOR WAYNE CAMPBELL Leader of the Council
