A Edenfield teenager has died six days after being found unconscious at home.
Jade Stringer, aged 14, of Bolton Road, Edenfield, died in hospital at 3.15pm on Saturday. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
She had been in a critical condition in Fairfield Hospital since going into hospital last Sunday.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “Shortly after 3.35pm on Sunday, 10 June, police were called by paramedics to attend a house in Bolton Road in Hawkshaw, Edenfield following a report a 14-year-old girl had been found unconscious.
“Officers attended and the girl was taken to hospital by paramedics.”
Mourners have been paying tribute to Jade, a Haslingden High School pupil, on Facebook and Twitter.
