ARSONISTS are being hunted after they started a fire which spread out of control.
A wheelie bin was set alight at the rear of Parsonage Street, in Bury, at 3.45am on Saturday.
The flames spread to two other wheelie bins, a roller shutter, badly damaged a Vauxhall Corsa parked in the back garden and a brick outbuilding.
Firefighters from Bury and Whitefield tackled the blaze and managed to stop it spreading further.
An investigation has now been launched, as the fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
Alan Topping, watch manager at Bury fire station, said: “It’s very dangerous to start these fires, as they can easily spread, like this one did, and could become much worse.”
Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
