I refer to Coun Connolly's letter last week (Opposition Party does not have to balance the books'.
This opening header says it all! It is the responsibility of the Labour group to balance the books and set the budget.
But having said this, I am sure that your readers do not need a continual bat and ball argument.
The residents of the borough are intelligent people who understand only too well the effect it has on their wallet having the Labour group control this council for the last 20 years.

I will leave it to the electorate of the borough to make up their own minds as to whether they want to continue to elect an uncaring, unsympathetic and definitely out of touch council.
As previously stated, I look forward to the local elections in May.
COUN BOB BIBBY Conservative Group Leader
