AN alcoholic who collapsed in his Bury flat died from natural causes, an inquest heard.
Edward Fury was only discovered on the floor of his living room a few days later when his partner's family were forced to climb through a window of his first floor apartment in Manchester Road.
Mrs Laura Anis had called several times at the flat and also on the telephone but was unable to make contact with her boyfriend.
An inquest in Bury into the 58-year-old's death heard how Mr Fury had a history of alcohol abuse spanning more than 20 years.
A post mortem examination revealed that Mr Fury had died almost instantly from haemorraghing in his lungs, and coroner Mr Simon Nelson recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
