I WROTE a letter a couple of weeks ago regarding how bad it is for parking if you are disabled and a patient at the new medical centre, Townside Primary Care centre.
My husband, who is not disabled, went to see one of the doctors last week and after finding the nearest parking bay, to his disgust had to pay £3.35 for a two-hour stay, as he couldn’t risk the hour in case the doctor was running late.
In this case he was about 40 minutes. So by the time he was seen by the doctor and got back to the car it was over the hour.
I am curious as to how many more people feel that it is not right we have to pay this amount every time we need to see the doctor.
I think it is time this is looked into, as I can’t believe they would build such a big surgery and not think about building a car park for the patients.
