BURY’S leisure centres have undergone a complete revamp.
The three centres — Radcliffe Pool And Fitness Centre, Castle Leisure Centre, and Ramsbottom Pool And Fitness Centre — have been kitted out with new equipment.
They have air-conditioned gyms, a free induction and personal exercise programme, and swimming and aqua aerobics.
There are also more than 60 studio classes, held seven days a week, racquet sports and toning chairs.
Some of the equipment has removable seating to accommodate wheelchair users and other modifications suitable for people with disabilities.
Cllr Jane Lewis, said: “This fantastic new equipment is going down a real storm with our existing members and we hope that many more people will take these improvements as encouragement to be more active and lead a healthier lifestyle.”
To celebrate the improvements, the leisure centres are offering free membership for three months to their first 300 new members.
People can choose to pay as they go or get an Active Lifestyle discount card.
