Chaos hit the Metrolink tram network this morning following a computer fault affecting the Bury line.
The fault was at Cornbrook on the Eccles line. But because services were suspended, it had knock on delays for the entire network.
Those on the Bury line were asked to use the 98 and 135 buses which accepted tram tickets and passes.
Susan Wildman, for Transport for Greater Manchester, which owns Metrolink, said: “I’m sorry people had problems this morning and I’d like to thank them for their patience."
