THE Football Association and Football League are to look into alleged racist behaviour by Bury fans on the opening day of the season.
Reported incidents during the Shakers' 2-1 defeat against MK Dons were captured on CCTV, and tapes have since been referred to football''s governing bodies, who will decide if any action can be taken against the individuals concerned.
Bury director Ian Mills was forced to apologise for the behaviour of a small section of travelling supporters during the game on August 5, and has confirmed that some supporters are helping Thames Valley Police with their enquiries.
He said: "This is now being dealt with by the Football Association and the Football League.
"The club have not been able to obtain copies of the tapes, also the club's dedicated police haven't seen them, but a number of people who were at the MK Dons game are helping police with their inquiries."
